Obituary

Harold E. Remy, Jr.(Buck) passed away peacefully at his home in Elkhorn, Wisconsin on Saturday, May 30th 2020 at the age of 79. His wife, Sandy, son Harry, and sister Susie were by his side after a year-long battle of cancer. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandy, his two sons, Harold and Christopher (Ystallonne), his sister Susan Glatt (Skip), sister-in-laws Fran Aqulia (Tony) and Roberta Romano (Joe). He will also be remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Harold was born in Chicago, Illinois and preceded in death by his parents Mary and Harold, and his sister Sharon Stewart. Harold served his country in his early 20's in the Marine reserves for six years and wrote news for the section that he was a part of. His passion for writing news, led him to an early career of 11 years reporting for the Chicago Tribune. After writing, he had many positions in sales traveling the U.S. before retiring from work with Motorola of 17 years at various cities in Illinois.

Harold will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for his family and his devotion for the news.

A celebration of his life will be held when these uncertain times are better for gathering sometime in the fall of 2020 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Donations in memory of Harold can be sent to MercyHealth at Home (901 Mineral Point Ave. Janesville, WI 53548). Steinke-Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home of Lake Geneva, WI is proudly serving the family.
