Darlene Gayle Collier-Thomas born November 12, 1941 in Phoenix, AZ at St. John’s Hospital. Lived in Crestline, CA. Died on November 13, 2020 in Lake Geneva, WI. Lived 79 years, 1 day and 4 hours and 10 mins. In those years, she had many wonderful and crazy adventures. Never met a motorcycle rider she did not ask for a ride. Some even gave her one! Loved her Square Dance family immensely. Darlene had a passion for helping and caring for the little ones. She served in the Church nursery, with the CBS babies, as a Snuggler for LLU and any little person she came across. Her heart was a truly giving heart. Darlene volunteered with Hospice, NODA (No one Dies Alone) and gave blood regularly. Where Darlene’s heart truly lay was with her family, natural or chosen it did not matter. She loved them greatly!
Darlene felt very proud of her children for the people they turned out to be! They are all 100% successful in their own way. None of them are in jail! They all are living active, full lives with values and love for their own families. Darlene set the standard (and it’s a high one) and her kids lived up to it.
Darlene is survived by her Mom-Molly Gentry, Sister-Dianne (Jim) White, and Brothers-Gary Gentry, and Dan (Kathi) Gentry. Her six natural children: Gary (Adriana) Collier, David (Beth) Collier, Dan (Esther) Collier, Bill (Sylviane) Collier, Don (Sandy) Collier and Constance (Andy) Kosowski. There are 11 grandkids, 5 great grandkids, 1 great great grandchild from the above-named kids. There are many more that claim Darlene as either Mom, Grandma or Aunt! AND her Main Man Robert Hall! They have shared the last few years really enjoying life and Loving each other greatly!
Darlene wanted to have a celebration of life for her! It will be held in Crestline, CA hoping to have it November 28th. Details to come! Steinke-Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home of Lake Geneva, WI is proudly serving the family.
